Bowing your head, you will notice a sunk spot beneath the highest budging bone in your vertebrae, it is one of the most important acupuncture points in the Du Meridian according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it is called “Dazhui” acupoint. Du Meridian is the governor of the Yang energy flow in your body, it is also called the Governing Vessel. Dazhui acupoint is on the midline, below the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra (C7). DazhuiYou can use the back of the comb to gently massage this spot in a pressing and releasing motion for about 5-10 minutes, and move up and down along your neck like massaging your neck, after a few minutes, you will notice the heat is increasing in this area because the Yang energy in your body is activated. This method of combing your neck helps prevent a cold, relieves lower back pain, and boosts your energy level.

Today, many of us are working in front of a computer for a long period, after work, many people spend lots of time in front of the TV to watch their favorite channels, all of these can lead to stiff necks and shoulders. The comb comes in handy to relieve your neck and shoulder pain. You can apply some massage oil around your neck and shoulders first, then use the back of the comb to gently scratch these areas for a few minutes, it may turn red after the treatment, but it will soften the stiffing muscles around your neck and shoulders and relieve neck and shoulder pain. The scraping method is a very ancient therapy in TCM, which is very effective in treating many chronic conditions including pain.

While sitting, you can also exercise your feet to keep your health in check.

When you use a comb to massage and stimulate your palms and the back of your hands, it helps relieve pain such as arthritis in the hands, enhances digestion, improves heart functions, it also improves circulation, and prevents cold hands, especially in winter. There are many meridian lines and acupuncture points in your hands, by massaging your hands regularly with a simple comb, you are giving your health a boost. You can comb your hands from top to bottom and from left to right, and give some pressure on those spots where you feel discomfort.

Many reflection points on your feet can stimulate your health, this is why foot massage has gained more and more popularity these days. When you use a comb to stimulate and massage the sole and the surface of your foot, it can help improve sleep quality, detoxify the body, enhance digestion, boost your energy level, relieve lower back pain and arthritis, balance hormones, prevent foot injuries, and boost your metabolism. The method is very simple, slowly scrape the inside and outside of the heel with the back of a comb, then scrape the sole from top to bottom and left to right with moderate pressure.

A comb is designed for your head. As a Chinese saying goes, “Comb your hair a hundred times, half sickness is gone!” Combing your head not only stimulates your brain functions and keeps you mentally sharp, but also improves your memories, relieves headaches, and prevents hair loss and grey hair, the benefits are countless. If you focus on this daily habit, you can still have dark and thick hair in your 80s.

Combing your hair is not just to make your hair look nice. The best way to comb your hair is to comb from the hairline of your forehead, and then move from the opposite direction, which is from the back to your forehead. Finally, comb from the roots of your hair on both sides of the ears and move in the opposite direction. You can divide your head into the front, back, left, and right four areas, comb one area 5-6 times, and then move to the next area. Combing your head 100 times a day is the most desirable for achieve amazing results.

In terms of choosing a comb as a healing tool, the best options are combs made of horns or wood, and the surface is smooth. You can combine it with essential oils such as rosemary, lavender, frankincense, etc. to enhance the result and potency.
